Pumpkin Patch
Wander the rows beside our red barn and pick the perfect pumpkin — big, small, round or wonderfully lumpy.
Oxford’s favorite fall tradition
When the air turns crisp in North Mississippi, the pumpkin patch at Chadwick Farm comes alive. Families from Oxford, Lafayette County and all over the Mid-South come out to walk the rows, hunt for the perfect pumpkin and soak up a real farm in the fall.
Our pumpkins grow right here on the farm, so what you find in the patch changes week to week. Early in the season you’ll have the pick of the biggest jack-o’-lantern pumpkins; later on, look for the odd-shaped, warty and white varieties that make the best porch displays.
Tips for your pumpkin patch visit
- Come early on Saturdays for the best selection and the softest light for photos.
- Wear closed-toe shoes — it’s a real field, and it can be muddy after rain.
- Bring the camera. The truck, hay bales and barn make a classic fall backdrop.
- Check Plan Your Visit for this season’s hours before you head out.
- Bring a snack, or fill up at Nibbles
Make a day of it
The patch is just the start. Say hello to the goats and sheep at Meet Our Animals, ride out on a hayride, and let the kids burn off energy in the play areas. Bringing a class? Our fall field trips include a trip to the patch for every student.
